We start the month off as we always do: with improv! Join the Fire Brigade for their monthly dousing of laughter on Saturday, April 7 at 7pm. The crew has been hard at work on a few new games to add to our family-friendly shows, and we think you’ll enjoy them! Tickets are $5 at the door, and season ticket holders get in free.
For the rest of April, please join us for a beautiful portrait of a Polish family torn apart by the war. In Barbara Lebow’s A Shayna Maidel, we meet the Mordechai Weiss and his two daughters. Mordechai and Rose, the younger daughter, escaped to America as the war was truly taking shape. Lucia, the older, had scarlet fever and stayed behind. Before they could escape, they were moved to the camps. The contrast of the childhoods of the two young women is laid bare on stage as they try to patch together 16 years apart. This beautiful drama runs April 13-29, 2018. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2pm. Tickets are available at Brown Paper Tickets.
